Founded in 1987, Athena Technologies, Inc. is a company that provides a broad spectrum of geological and environmental services to industry and academia. These services, based on project experience, include near shore, wetlands, lake, channel, and open ocean vibracoring studies. These studies often involve the collection and analysis of vibracore samples for environmental and geotechnical pre-dredge projects, beach renourishment sediment evaluation and geological research. Other services Athena Technologies, Inc. offer are; coastal geomorphological studies, monitoring well installation (using the vibracore system), shallow mineral investigations; detailed sedimentation studies; oil spill studies for both response and contingency planning; and continuing education short courses and field trips.
